Companies from the entire manufacturing chain confirm their presence at Subcontratación

A total of 461 exhibiting companies have already booked a space at the fair

Professionals will find comprehensive solutions for product manufacturing at SUBCONTRATACIÓN, the International Fair of Manufacturing Processes & Equipment.   The list of exhibitors already includes companies from the entire capital goods production chain. A total of 461 exhibiting companies have booked a space at the fair, which is in its 17th year, from 26 to 29 May at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre. It will offer a wide range of services and it will have its own trading scheme, based on the combination of a fair and a large forum of B2B meetings.

Strengthened by the first signs of economic recovery, the SUBCONTRATACIÓN campaign is also moving forward with positive figures – a higher number of registered visitors, people interested in finding suppliers, advanced technology, tailor-made solutions, and, ultimately, new business opportunities.

A CONCEPT THAT STANDS OUT

SUBCONTRATACIÓN brings together in one space an exhibition, technical talks and an extensive programme of B2B interviews with first-rate international buyers. It is a concept that stands out and that is valued by professionals in the sector.

The SUBCONTRATACIÓN exhibition area offers spaces for manufacturing process companies such as casting, part machining with chip removal and moulds, models, matrices & dies, amongst others, and companies working with machinery and equipment for casting, forging, surface treatment, welding, and iron and steel industry, mainly. The International Fair of Manufacturing Processes and Equipment has a new feature this year – a special area dedicated to two new sectors: additive manufacturing, which will be promoted by ADDIMAT, the Spanish Association for Additive Manufacturing and 3D; and composites. The companies and technology centres will exhibit what they have to offer, share their experiences and display their most competitive and most developed products.

They will all be able to take part in the 15th European Industrial Subcontracting Forum, where the industries to which their main clients belong will be present, such as railway, energy, iron and steel industry, medical techniques, electrical appliances, car industry and petrochemical. This event will be the largest forum of interviews that has taken place in Spain so far.

The conference programme includes talks on many different topics, like “The current state of environmental authorisation, substantial modification, baseline report and periodical inspections” by the AIAS, the Association of Finish and Surface Industries; “Machinery and Subcontracting” by OSALAN, the Basque Health and Safety at Work Institute; “Investment opportunities in Tunisia; subcontracting and innovation in the electromechanical industry by the Foreign Investment Promotion Agency FIPA TUNEZ; “Additive Manufacturing in the development of large parts” by TECNALIA; “Presentation of Additive Manufacturing Technologies” by companies that are members of ADDIMAT; “The value of intangible things. The importance of Industrial and Intellectual Property for companies” by the OEPM, the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office; and a technical conference on “Industrial pre-treatments and finishes”, also organised by AIAS.

28 MAY, AERONAUTICS SECTOR DAY AT AEROTRENDS

Aeronautical companies will have their own exhibiting area at AEROTRENDS, which has already confirmed around 80 companies and entities, including two of the most important associations – HEGAN, the Basque Cluster Association of Aeronautics and Space, and AERA, Aragonian Aerospace Cluster.

The technical conference on the 28th will be the main activity for this sector. It is organised by Ik4 Research Alliance, University of the Basque Country / Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, Mondragón Unibertsitatea, Tecnalia Foundation, CTA and Hegan, and is entitled “An overview of future aeronautical manufacturing trends within the Industry 4.0 strategy”. There will also be a B2B programme of arranged interviews. The programme of invitations for international VIP buyers is in its second stage and has already contacted the selected companies to manage directly their visit to the Bilbao Exhibition Centre in May.
