Presentation of industry events

Industry will thrive at the Bilbao Exhibition Centre from 6th to 8th June thanks to the parallel hosting of Ferroforma, Subcontratación, Addit3D, Pumps & Valves Maintenance and Fitmaq, along with Workinn and Polveri & ecoCoating, another two events related to the industrial sectors. Over 1200 exhibiting firms from all over the world will participate in this great platform, which will be inspired on the principles of Industry 4.0 to offer innovations in key sectors such as additive manufacturing and 3D printing, industrial subcontracting, hardware, industrial supplies and DIY, pumps and valves, maintenance, second-hand machine-tooling and industrial jobs.

The sum of these six events in a single space will offer a full journey through the most advanced industry, where visiting professionals are will be able to find customised solutions in manufacturing processes, the latest technologies, supplies and tools, as well as equipment for industrial processes and products for the maintenance of assets and facilities. It will be the biggest meeting point devoted to Smart Manufacturing which will be held in our country this year, and in which commercial exhibitions will be combined with technical seminars, live presentations, workshops and international programmes of B2B meetings in Halls 1,2,3 and 5 of the Basque exhibition centre.

Over 18,500 professionals from 65 countries came to this multiple meeting in 2015, when the sum of industrial events promoted very interesting synergies and fostered new channels of collaboration between different sectors and companies. This year, industry will be consolidated with even more force, if possible, with the incorporation of Workinn, industrial job forum, Polveri & ecoCoating, space devoted to surface coatings, and Addit3D, fair devoted to additive manufacturing technologies and 3D printing, whose advance is unstoppable.

SUBCONTRATACIÓN: customised processes and equipment for smart manufacturing

Within the framework of advanced manufacturing, SUBCONTRATACIÓN has positioned itself as the reference forum for those professionals seeking to make direct contact with suppliers that are more flexible, rapid, innovative and adapted to the digital era, offering specific solutions to their projects, using the latest technology in the manufacture of components, parts and systems. A total of 503 exhibiting firms from 19 countries will participate in the event, the only one in Spain devoted to industrial subcontracting. 80% of these companies are subcontractors related to the different manufacturing processes and 20% are suppliers of machinery and equipment. Between them, they cover all of the needs of the production chain, essentially in the areas of machining, casting, metal transformation, heat treatments, plastics, moulds and matrices.

The incorporation of “productive intelligence” – making use of emerging technologies, integration of advanced materials and improved efficiency and sustainability in the resources used – will determine the competitiveness of companies, so the event will offer responses with increased added value through the leading national and international specialists from countries like Portugal, Italy or France.

Business Opportunities for SMEs

Furthermore, different spaces support Subcontratación’s claim of “connecting companies, optimising processes”, whose main goal is to turn challenges into business opportunities for SMEs. In this section, the European Industrial Subcontracting Meeting, the largest B2B platform of the many held in the national sphere, can be highlighted. 80% of the exhibitors participating in the fair have been registered in this programme of interviews, in order to set up private meetings with representatives from around 100 contracting companies from France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Poland, Spain, Austria, United Kingdom and Serbia, among other countries. In total, over 2,000 meetings will be held over the three days.

The first day will be devoted to purchasers from the railway, iron and steel industry, energy, electrical-electronic and machinery sectors; whilst the second day will target he automotive industry; and the final day is for aeronautics and additive manufacturing. The Meeting is organised by the Chamber of Commerce of Barcelona with the collaboration of the Network of Spanish Subcontracting Exchanges and the Bilbao Exhibition Centre.

Subcontratación will also offer a programme of conferences in which it is worth mentioning ACICAE “Automotive Sector: trends and advanced manufacturing”, the 9th International Casting Forum and the “Workshop on digitalisation in Industry” by Tecnalia.

Finally, industrial coatings will have a monographic space at Subcontratación 2017 for the first time ever, which will bring highly specialised technologies and services to all companies related to industrial manufacturing. Polveri &ecoCoating will combine the exhibition area in which 21 companies will be present, with a programme of highly technological conferences. The exhibition will be the meeting point and a place for commercial exchange for suppliers of machinery, equipment, consumables and services in the sector. The conferences will analyse technological development related to the application of coatings for the automotive, aeronautics, wind power, aerospace sectors and major works from three points of view: the general sectorial, that of processes in the different stages of pre-treatment, application and maturing, and that of new markets for this kind of coatings: anti-corrosive applications for heat sensitive materials, quality guarantees. Polveri & ecoCoating is organised by Reconal Ediciones and Bilbao Exhibition Centre and is sponsored by Pulverit, Intellysys, Geinsa and Nordson.
